My name is joja. Born in 1974, I am a self-taught artist based in Munich, Germany, creating independent art. Drawing and painting have been my way of expression for as long as I can remember. For me, art is not about striving for perfection—it is entirely about raw, honest expression.
Guided by an early inspiration from comic book figures, I love the absolute freedom of a blank sheet of paper or an empty canvas. I deeply appreciate the raw energy of outsider art, an area that is still heavily stigmatized, yet incredibly powerful.
Being versatile and free is essential to my process. I thrive on playing with different materials and constantly experimenting with new techniques. Through my work, I build worlds that sometimes invite you in, and other times offer a place to escape. I believe in art without boundaries, which is why I call my work independent art. I hope my pieces connect with you and invite you to dive deep into these worlds.
